CHALLENGE: We are looking to do an RFP for global banking services that includes the U.S. Europe, and APAC. Does anyone have experience in this area?

SOLUTION: Six members volunteered information on their own experiences. One member even offered to connect them with their consultant who had given a presentation on the subject. Another member replied that he had been wondering the same thing and also very much appreciated the help.

CHALLENGE:  I want to get an idea for the range of commissions that companies are paying for standard, plain vanilla open market share repurchase (as a fee per share, such as 2 cents or 1 cent per share, as examples).

SOLUTION:  We were able to poll our members and got 17 responses, which we then compiled into a graphic. The member was thrilled with the results. 

CHALLENGE: How do rating agencies evaluate depository institutions? I am updating our Cash Management Policy and want to be ahead of any impact that our deposit operations will have on the process/evaluation.

SOLUTION:  We were able to gather the information from our members and subject matter experts to get him the information quickly.  The member was thrilled.  

CHALLENGE: Do you have experience with “activist” venture fund investments?  We are looking to modify our investment policy to allow this type of investment.  

SOLUTION:  Within two hours, four members provided their comments.  We also connected him to an investment company actively facilitating investment in this demographic.

CHALLENGE: What process do you use to define employee succession plans? What steps do you take to define critical positions, competencies, and critical success factors.

SOLUTION:  We polled our communties and found many common themes in this very important area of employee development. We received valuable input that we shared with all those who participated in the query. 

CHALLENGE: We are planning to issue an RFP for Global Corporate Cards for T&E.  What bank do you use and are you happy with their service? 

SOLUTION:  We polled our community and within 24 hours, nine members responded with details of their specific programs/service providers. The input was extremely valuable.
